About the Work
Some call Cornflowers a weed because they often grow in the most unlikely places. In fact, they are tenacious and courageous. They can thrive in hardship with poor soil and little water. And despite these harsh conditions, their stalks are ever strong and straight, they stand tall above any other wildflower found nearby, and the blue of its petals are unfailingly bold and unashamed. These blossoms are rarely found alone, instead they grow in families. The humble Cornflower is indomitable and brave and thus, Prussian Courage is an apt moniker for this wildflower.
